Words and Pictures

I also have an interest in how words and pictures can combine and am currently exploring how to use different book forms to present poetry and prints. I have been inspired by visiting the studio of  Hilke Kurzke who showed me her 'Women in Hats' book of prints.

This encouraged me to produce a small book (A5) 

'Move and Surrender: Four Characters in Search of a Plot' 

It contains four collagraph prints and four hikau. The reader has to decided which goes with which. 

I have also finished a collection haiku to go with images from the 'Performance' series. This video lets you see more.
